Is Uber Eats in Chilliwack?

Now there’s even more options for food delivery. Uber Eats now offers food delivery in Chilliwack, in addition to Skip the Dishes and DoorDash.

We’ve been keeping an eye on Uber Eats who is already in Abbotsford.

Uber Eats launched in Vancouver back in 2018 and has now expanded to the Fraser Valley. As of February, 2021, they’re currently doing a soft launch in Chilliwack.

Uber Eats joins Skip the Dishes to offer alcohol delivery in Chilliwack, as well as food. We also noticed you can get Hofsted’s Country Market delivered which is listed under the Grocery Delivery category.

Although they’re listed under grocery delivery, we’re only seeing items available from their bakery like soups, sandwiches, salads, pastries, and pastas. Perhaps they’ll expand to offer more delivery options in the future?

We’ve seen grocery delivery offered by Instacart from major retailers Superstore and Walmart. But getting grocery delivery from a local business is an exciting step in the right direction.

How Much Does Uber Eats Charge for Delivery?

Currently delivery fees are lower than Skip the Dishes and DoorDash, but like we saw with DoorDash, you can expect these fees to go up in the near future. Be sure to take advantage of these low delivery fees while you can.

A lot of the fees right now are $0.99 – $2.99, whereas some restaurants on Skip the Dishes cost over $5 for delivery.

If you’re considering Skip the Dishes, DoorDash or Uber Eats for food delivery tonight, do your homework to see where you can get delivery the cheapest since fees vary across all these platforms, and a lot of the times the same restaurants are available for delivery across the different platforms.

If you’re looking for free alcohol delivery, Skip the Dishes is still your best bet. You can get free alcohol delivery on orders over $20 from Little Mountain Liquor Store.
